As part of a dynamic team led by UCSF, I contributed to a multi-country study on COVID-19 vaccine preparedness in 18 African countries. The project focused on analyzing policies, uptake strategies, and implementation barriers across different health systems.
My role included policy mapping and stakeholder interviews to determine how governments used evidence to guide decisions in the heat of the pandemic. The insights we’ve generated can inform future pandemic response plans, not only for COVID-19 but for any emerging global health threats.
