Dr. Edward Kwabena Ameyaw’s research focuses on critical public health challenges facing populations across low- and middle-income countries. His work explores how health systems, social structures, and policies affect health outcomes — with a strong emphasis on equity, evidence, and impact.
His key research interests include:
- Maternal and Child Health
- Improving access to quality care during pregnancy, childbirth, and early childhood, especially in underserved communities.
- Global Health Systems
- Evaluating the effectiveness and resilience of health systems, and designing solutions that strengthen service delivery.
- Social Determinants of Health
- Studying how factors such as education, income, gender, and location influence health behaviors and outcomes.
- Reproductive Health and Rights
- Investigating access to family planning, sexual health services, and gender-based health disparities.
- Health & Technology in Healthcare
- Exploring the role of mobile health technologies in improving healthcare access and communication.
- Health Policy and Management
- Contributing to policy development and program evaluation to support evidence-based decision-making.
