Food and Water Insecurity Among People Living with HIV in Ghana

Role: Co-Investigator
Funder: University of California, San Francisco (UCSF)
Funding Amount: USD 30,000
Year: 2021

This project investigated the intersection of nutrition, basic needs, and antiretroviral treatment outcomes for people living with HIV in Ghana. As Co-Investigator, I worked alongside a passionate team exploring how food and water insecurity affect adherence and long-term health.

We partnered with clinics and local NGOs to assess patient conditions and map structural barriers. The study’s findings are now contributing to policy dialogues on integrating nutritional support into HIV treatment programs, particularly in resource-limited settings.
