Winning the Research Shark Tank Award (AUD 700) at the University of Technology Sydney was a unique experience. Presenting my research pitch on maternal referral systems to a non-academic panel taught me the power of communicating science clearly. This experience sharpened my public speaking and gave me a new appreciation for interdisciplinary engagement.
