In a digital era where mobile health (mHealth) is rapidly gaining traction, I am honored to lead a funded project investigating how mobile technology can enhance maternal healthcare delivery in Ghana. With support from the Hong Kong Research Grants Council, this initiative aims to understand how healthcare professionals use mobile tools, what challenges they face, and how we can design scalable digital solutions that save lives.
Through qualitative interviews and quantitative data, we are uncovering not only the benefits but also the cultural, technical, and policy limitations affecting digital health implementation in low-resource settings. This project contributes to both global health innovation and the local empowerment of frontline maternal care workers.
